# Should I buy travel insurance?

## Travel insurance is compulsory on all our trips and we recommend getting coverage as soon as you have booked with us

- Travel insurance is **compulsory** on all of our adventures
- Your insurance **must** include adequate protection for overseas medical treatment, evacuation or repatriation, your baggage and equipment, and the specific activities involved on your adventure
- We suggest that you book travel insurance as soon as you book your adventure for true peace of mind.

- We also highly recommend taking out a policy which also includes personal liability, cancellation and cover in the event you are unable to join your trip due to illness or injury, curtailment, loss of luggage or personal effects, or for any other reason.
- Standard travel insurance may not cover all the activities included in your adventure, so it's essential to check the details carefully. There are adventure-specific providers that many travellers have used in the past, such as **[True Traveller](https://www.truetraveller.com/?tag=4555)** (for those based in the UK or Europe), or **[Rise + Shield](https://riseandshield.com/?ref=nwjjzgm)**, both of which offer cover for a wide range of adventurous activities.
- Please make sure your chosen policy meets your individual needs and covers all aspects of your trip.
