Much Better Adventures – Referral Programme Terms and Conditions
These Referral Terms and Conditions (“Referral Terms”) apply in addition to our Website Terms of Use and Discount Code Terms, and govern participation in Much Better Adventures’ referral programme.
1. Definitions
- Referrer: A current Much Better Adventures customer who receives a unique referral link or code as part of this programme.
- Referee: A new customer who signs up and books using a referral link or code.
- Referral Link/Code: A unique code or URL provided to the Referrer for the purposes of referring others.
- Referral Credit: A reward applied to the Referrer’s account once a Referee completes their Much Better Adventures trip.
- Referral Discount: A discount applied to the Referee’s first booking with Much Better Adventures.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The programme is open to all customers who have made a booking with Much Better Adventures.
2.2 Referrers must be over 18 and have an active Much Better Adventures account.
2.3 Referees must be new customers who have not previously created or held a Much Better Adventures account. Multiple accounts for the same user are prohibited, and credit issued in these circumstances will be withdrawn.
2.4 A referral is only valid where the Referee uses the Referral Link or Code at the time of booking. It cannot be applied retrospectively to bookings under any circumstances.
2.5 Referral Links or Codes must only be shared with people you know personally. Posting to discount sites, deal forums, review sites or using paid advertising is not permitted and codes will be immediately deactivated where this occurs.
3. How It Works
3.1 The Referrer shares their unique Referral Link or Code with a friend or family member.
3.2 The Referee uses the link or code to sign up and make their first eligible booking.
3.3 Once the Referee has completed their first Much Better Adventures trip, the applicable Referral Credit is issued to the Referrer's account.
3.4 The applicable Referral Discount is available to the Referee at the time of booking, provided a valid referral link or code has been used. The Referee must apply the discount at checkout. The credit will be automatically available on the Checkout page - just make sure you hit Apply as it will not be applied automatically.
3.5 Referral Credit and Referral Discounts may be used in conjunction with other eligible promotional codes or discounts offered by Much Better Adventures, subject to the minimum trip value of £500 being met.
4. Reward Terms
4.1 Referral Credit is only issued in GBP, is non-transferable, and has no cash alternative. If you are paying in an alternative currency - the discount will automatically be converted. The referral amount awarded will be shown in your Account area.
4.2 Only one Referral Credit can be earned per successful Referee.
4.3 Referral Credit is limited to a maximum of 10 successful referrals per Referrer. Any referrals beyond this limit will not qualify for Referral Credit.
4.4 Referral Credit can only be used on publicly listed, social Much Better Adventures trips booked directly through our website. It is not valid on private, or third-party bookings.
4.5 Referral Credit cannot be applied retrospectively to existing bookings or used to modify previous transactions.
4.6 Referral Credit is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Referral credit must be applied to a booking before it expires.
4.7 The Referee's Referral Discount is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and must be applied to a booking before it expires.
4.8 Referral Credit and Referral Discounts are valid on bookings with a minimum trip value of £500. They cannot be applied to bookings below this threshold.
4.9 If the Referee cancels their booking any associated Referral Credit will not be reinstated for future bookings. If your host is forced to cancel a departure for any reason, contact our CX team and they will be able to reinstate your Referral Credit.

5. Misuse and Disqualification
5.1 Any misuse of the programme, including creating multiple accounts, referring oneself, or spamming strangers, may result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of any earned credit for both the Referrer and Referee.
5.2 Any Credit acquired via codes shared on publicly via discount sites, deal forums, review sites or using paid advertising will be removed.
5.3 We reserve the right to withhold or cancel credits where we believe these terms have been breached.
6. Programme Changes
6.1 We reserve the right to update, pause, or discontinue this programme at any time. Any material changes will be communicated to participants via email or on our website with reasonable notice.
6.2 Reward values applicable at the time a referral is made are those that apply to that referral. Any changes to reward values will not be applied retrospectively — referrers and referees will receive the reward value in place at the time the referral was made.
7. Privacy
7.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with our [Privacy Policy].
7.2 Referrers and Referees agree to receive communications specifically relating to your referral activity, including confirmations and reward updates. This is not marketing consent.
8. Governing Law
8.1 These Referral Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
8.2 Any disputes arising from this programme shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
